Tests update

Bruce Joseph Gallop requested to merge tests_update into devel

This should fix problems building on Mac (different CMake version) reported a few weeks ago.

I've removed the direct running of test_main from the CI, but they are still run by "make test" in the job_test_json_parsing job.
