Investigate/fix propagation integration tests inconsistencies

The switch to a consistent unit system in !597 (merged) revealed inconsistencies in the propagation integration tests, e.g. as seen in https://gitlab.cern.ch/acts/acts-core/-/jobs/4413283. This needs to be either fixed or determined to be a purely-numerical issue.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
