ntuple dumping crash on second subsample

When dumping ntuples that should be pooled, e.g., at a DSID level a crash occurs at the beginning of the second subsample (likely the more general case is the second input file of which events should end up in the same output ntuple; see attached screenshot)

This is likely due to some incomplete initialization, maybe a regression of #121 (closed) ?
