Possible to assert/deassert busy with user command?

In NSW, there are some calibrations which would benefit from the possibility to stop L1A while a PG pattern is running. i.e., they would benefit from control of the busy assertion/deassertion of ALTI.
Would it be possible to implement this functionality as a user command in AltiController?
