Old-style config versions of the MC21 pile-up configurations from !51304 and !51338

  • SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern_Flat.py : uniform bunch luminosity (0 or 1 intensity for all bunches)
  • SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern_Early.py : bunch-by-bunch pattern for LB 200 in fill 7314 (early, less dispersion)
  • RunDependentSimData/configLumi_run410000_mc21a_MultiBeamspot.py : PU distribution intended to be used with uniform bunch intensity structure (so it is the convolution of the bunch-to-bunch structure with the average pileup distribution). Uses "step" mechanism to separate the four LB ranges for different beamspot sizes/pileup. Steps 0, 1, 2 are convolution of SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern_Early.py with average pileup 52, step 3 is convolution of SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern.py (high dispersion) with flat 25-52 average pileup profile.
  • RunDependentSimData/configLumi_run410000_mc21a_MultiBeamspot_AverageMu.py : PU distribution intended to be used with BCID-to-BCID variations in bunch intensity structure. Uses "step" mechanism to separate the four LB ranges for different beamspot sizes/pileup.

They are intended to be used as follows:

  • RunDependentSimData/configLumi_run410000_mc21a_MultiBeamspot.py with SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern_Flat.py
  • RunDependentSimData/configLumi_run410000_mc21a_MultiBeamspot_AverageMu.py with SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern_Early.py for steps 0, 1, 2 and with SimulationJobOptions/preInclude.PileUpBunchTrainsFill_7314_BCMS_Pattern.py for step 3.
