Backport: Fixed: #78826: Race condition between stageRm and disk2DiskCopyDone can result in NULL DiskCopy states

Backport: Issue a rollback before updating the UpgradeLog when an error has occurred. This prevents the update of the UpgradeLog from committing inconsistent data to the database.

- Added a build dependency on xorg-x11-devel or imake depending on the OS version to make sure that the makedepend command is installed.
- Suppressed warning messages in oracompile.py when performing a clientonly builds.

Use 'simple' expanded variables as opposed to 'recursive' ones in calls to python. A simple expanded variable is scanned once while recursive ones are scanned every time they are referenced. This drastically improves compile times as python isn't called 1000's of times

Imake.tmpl requires python to determine the PYTHON_LIBS, PYTHON_INC and PYTHON_LIBDIR variables as a result castor-lib now has a BuildRequires dependency on python.

Fixed incorrect BuildRequires dependency on the castor-vmgr-client package. Prior to this, the oracle-instantclient-precomp package was required to build the clientonly distribution despite having no PRO*C code that required compilation

Backport: Discard messages received from remote hosts not caught by the logprocessor filters. This avoid security scans and other remote content from being dumped into /var/log/messages and/or the console

Fixed 'TypeError: string indices must be integers' error message when attempting to detect ORACLE on systems without OIC or /afs/

Backport: Changed the version of root to be used on SLC5 from 5.24 to 5.25. This fixes several failing root test cases

Removed the strange spaces located between the table and column names of two fully
qualified columns in a select statement, which appear not to effect Oracle but
make for very bad reading.

Backport : bug #73921: gridFTP checksums wrong on 32 bits platforms. This consisted only in properly declaring the adler_combine_ function and avoiding Kernighan and Ritchie syntax
