All interfaces use a native bus

All front-end interface components use a native bus based on lwords. It may be a good idea to migrate towards a more commonly used streaming protocol, such as AXI-Stream to improve future compatibility and reusability.

The project should also make use of VHDL-2019 interfaces to improve code readability.
