XaaD process using up large fraction of swap space

Hi,

On our machine hcalmon.cms [srv-s2f17-17-01.cms], we've seen that the swap space has completely filled up a few times in the last several weeks. The largest consumer of swap by far is the XaaS process, which is taking up about 1.5 GB / 4 GB total swap (looking in the proc/status file at the VmSwap line). (One of our xdaq processes is next in line, taking up about 600 MB.) Last week we restarted all processes to get the swap usage under control, but now it's filled up again. For the moment I've left the machine in this state so that you can take a look.

Is there any way to reduce the XaaD swap usage? If not, then we could ask the sysadmins if the swap space can be increased.
