Release 0: Performance and core functionality. Allow for first (redundant) production usage, to be discussed with FDO

First production usage, to be discussed with FDO:

  • Additional backup of filer data (AFS/NFS) via EOSCTA or EOSPUBLIC
  • Additional tape copy of LEP data in EOSPUBLIC

Deliverables:

  • Performance scaled to sustained 100Hz archival (per tape) and retrieval (per tape pool) request rates; aggregated: 10 queues = 1KHz
  • Completed core administration tools for configuration and status queries
  • Enhanced EOS integration: deletion of archived files (ongoing ones: TBD) and listing of storage classes
  • Full validation of EOS workflow engine (including retry mechanism); disk/tape residency use cases (D1T1, D0T1, D1T0); "stager_rm" use case.
