Gaudi master test failures with ROOT master (Since about Oct 28, 2022)

Dear Gaudi Devs,

In our LCG build of Gaudi master against ROOT master branch, we observe test failures across all builds since about October 28, 2022. E.g: http://cdash.cern.ch/testDetails.php?test=15907266&build=200966

The following tests FAILED:
	141 - GaudiExamples.aida2rootex (Not Run)
	179 - GaudiExamples.counter (Failed)
	187 - GaudiExamples.evtcolread (Not Run)
	191 - GaudiExamples.evtcolwrite (Failed)
	199 - GaudiExamples.gaudipython_mix (Failed)
	203 - GaudiExamples.histo_ascii_dump (Failed)
	204 - GaudiExamples.histoex (Failed)
	205 - GaudiExamples.histoex1 (Failed)
	206 - GaudiExamples.histoex2 (Not Run)
	214 - GaudiExamples.histoutilsex (Failed)
	226 - GaudiExamples.metadatasvc (Not Run)
	281 - GaudiExamples.timing_histos (Failed)
	283 - GaudiExamples.tupleex1 (Failed)
	284 - GaudiExamples.tupleex2 (Failed)
	285 - GaudiExamples.tupleex4 (Failed)
	286 - GaudiExamples.tupleex_py (Failed)

We run with repeat:5 https://gitlab.cern.ch/sft/lcgcmake/-/blob/master/frameworks/run_gaudi_tests.sh#L30

So these are not flaky failures, as far as we can tell
