MMG relies on the sorting of the entries in the module map files

ModuleMapGraph relies on the sorting of the order of the entries, i.e., it requires the module maps sorted like this e.g. for the doublet maps.

df.sort_values(["Module1", "Module2"])

It would be more robust, if ModuleMapGraph could ensure the correct sorting on loading, as this type of issue is hard to debug.
