Physics efficiency tests behavior wrt missing reference files

Within the Allen GitLab CI pipeline, physics efficiency tests compare the output with reference files.
Currently if a reference file is missing, the corresponding test is marked as passed.
Should a warning be raised to notify the user that there are missing references?
