SciFi seeding qop asymmetries on data
@anmorris and @tevans noticed an asymmetry in the long-track qop distribution on data that is not present in simulation. Digging a bit more, the seeding qop distribution also shows some strange behaviour (both asymmetry and a strange peak). Looking at RecoMon monet plots, this doesn't seem to be the case for the seeding qop.
When looking a bit at the code it was noticed that for the HLT1 seeding implementation of the seeding states:
- the
dzdy
correction is not used at all - the
dRatio
parametrization is not used, only a constant value. Any ideas if this could be relevant? Or if not, any other ideas on what could be causing the asymmetry?
