Functor collection for WGs

Is it worth implementing some WG specific functor collections? I know for sure that SL has some things they use for pretty much all their analyses that are particular to them (various q2 implementations, missing mass, corrected mass etc). Perhaps we can survey other WGs for such things. This may well tie in with the RD move for centralised WG productions.
