Reoptimised Hlt2 selections for 2025: "lossless" first pass
Intended outcomes by the December LHCb week
- Resolved #868 on the master branch
- lossless BW reoptimisations from WGs
- One MR (to

) per WG ready around 1 week before LHCb week - Allowing for 1 week to run the tests and discuss/review the results, before wider discussion in LHCb week

- General / open-ended studies on selections by the WGs
Open questions
- For each line in Turbo with persistReco: why?
- replace with selective persistence
- Hlt1 filtering in Hlt2, mostly for throughput improvement
Planning
We have the following WP3 meetings scheduled

5th November 15:30 WGs are expected to report on what lines they have identified as having unreasonable BW, and a plan for how they will be sanitised. -

Starting results (2024-patches):
Based on the files under /eos/lhcb/wg/rta/WP3/mdfs_hlt1filtered_307586/LHCb/0000307586/
filtered by Hlt1 in the last 2 weeks of pp running. This used a 1.3 MHz Hlt1.
- This is a reasonably realistic scenario for 2025.
- caveat: this Hlt1 doesn't include downstream tracks
