The latest Enclustra Mercury KX2 FPGA boards are not configured in JTAG mode by default anymore. The board will be recognized as `FTDI Dual RS232-HS` instead of `Digilent Adept USB Device`.
If this is the case, you need to download the (Windows) program *Enclustra MCT x86* from the tools section of [https://download.enclustra.com](https://download.enclustra.com/).
Fist you need to activate the option **Enable configuring any FTDI** from the *Settings* menu, then click the **Enumerate** button, select the **FTDI 2232H Configuration** *action*, select **Xilinx JTAG** from the *Device mode* drop-down menu and then click the **Set device mode** button. After a few seconds, the board should be successfully set to JTAG mode and recognized as a JTAG interface.

The Mercury KX2 board contains a USB-JTAG adapter. To use it, connect a USB 2.0 type B cable to the BDAQ53 base board. Drivers are included in Vivado (the driver can also be [(re)installed](https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/59128.html) if necessary).

If you open the Vivado *hardware manager*, select *open target* and then *auto connect*, the target FPGA will show up.
