Thank you! I think this was a misunderstanding then.
Regarding the first comment, the variables that I had plotted were the invariant masses of the truth_chidren*
. Sbb for example was the invariant mass from truth_children_fromH2*
.
I was wondering if the equivalent for the initial state particles is stored with the framework? We would like to use the variables from the TruthDressedWZJets
rather than the FSR.
Hi @tstreble the DAOD input is mc20_13TeV.801600.Py8EG_A14NNPDF23LO_XHS_X1000_S400_4b.deriv.DAOD_PHYS.e8448_a907_r14859_p5855
Hello,
I am using the truth b-quarks truth_children_fromH1* and truth_children_fromH2* for truth matching and see that when using these to construct the H1 (SM Higgs) and H2 (scalar resonance S), the invariant masses are not consistent with the expected Higgs mass values (see slides 8 and 9 here). Could it be possible that the b-quarks are picked up incorrectly?
I did my study with this sample user.dabattul.ntup_phys_AF3_08112023.801600.Py8EG_A14NNPDF23LO_XHS_X1000_S400_4b.e8448_a907_r14859_p5855_TREE
(available on the grid).
Cheers, Varsha
