Question: Why IIO/MediaCtl interfaces are not built by default?

I noticed that in commit edb9364d, the build for the IIO/MediaCtl interfaces was disabled. Could @simonspa please remind me of the reason behind this change? I'm concerned that disabling these builds might prevent our CI from catching any breaking changes to these interfaces.
