TriggerMenuMT: cleanup trigger menu singletons and caches

At the end of the trigger menu generation, cleanup the various caches
to allow the garbage collector to remove unused python objects.

Also remove unused code and return iterators instead of list copies.

Relates to ATR-28855 and ATEAM-978.
