Hi, since this is only a python change, then the package building should be unchanged, and the optional and required tests, will likely not even test these changes at all.

So I would propose that we accept these changes so that we can test the code with the proper validation procedure. If we see any problems there, then we can fix them directly, but it would be unlikely that any such problems would show up in any of the required tests so waiting around for them is really just adding delay.
