FCS: Fix building standalone code with gcc8

Fix building standalone FastCaloSim code with gcc8.

FYI @pjacka, we might also want to just move this code out of Athena in the later stage.

I'll merge it as soon as possible, but it might not be today, as there are some open questions on the nightly validation at the moment. But it will probably go in tomorrow then. Hope that's ok.
