Fix for acmd diff-root

Oh no! acmd diff-root in 21.6 is broken 😭 🔥 😢 🚑 💣

This might fix it, some issues were caused when I tried to sweep the --nan-equal option over from other branches. I set up a 21.6 release to test it and everything seems great now. 🌈 🦄 🌞
