Modification of precisionCalo step with EgammaRec and SuperClusterBuilder

Mentioned in ATR-24180 this MR will add EgammaRec and SuperClusterBuilder on top of current topoClusterCopier of precisionCaloStep in Egamma signature (https://gitlab.cern.ch/atlas/athena/-/blob/master/Trigger/TriggerCommon/TriggerMenuMT/python/HLTMenuConfig/Electron/PrecisionElectronRecoSequences.py).       If you see my changes I did modification of precisionCalo step agnostic to later steps in photon and electron. So the workflow is

      This precisionCalo step will generate similar StoreGateSvc+HLT_CaloEMClusters (coming from SuperClusterCollectionName of https://acode-browser1.usatlas.bnl.gov/lxr/source/athena/Reconstruction/egamma/egammaAlgs/src/egammaSuperClusterBuilder.h#0102) and gets consumed by TrigEgammaPrecisionCaloHypoAlg. I thought this should be current modification for precisionCalo and its a common step for electron and photon and in later MR s I will work out how to deal with precisionPhoton and precisionElectron. Now I am having an error

    So as you see the current algorithm flow for precisionCalo is

    The final output is superCaloClusters which are consumed by the previous precisionCaloHypo. These algos are definitely doing something as I see changes from step 2 (i.e. precisionCalo; mostly increment of step count)

    it will fail for reference since I didn't update the reference, as we were figuring out wether those counts are desired that's why we are currently thinking of making AODs 1st with this changes and check the efficiency and then push the MR further.

  • Hi Debo, yes that's all fine - I just wanted to get a "preview" of the count changes. So we mostly gain a small number of e and g, except for a couple of chains such as HLT_e5_lhtight_noringer_e14_etcut_1invmAB5_L1JPSI which goes from 2 candidate to 1 (in one event) and now hence reject.
