Tweaks to the Run 2 workflow tests

Tweaks to the Run 2 workflow tests to allow to start migrating some of the existing tests to the new system.

This covers:

• CA-based data reco test
• overlay tests
• simulation tests

It might be nice to update the tests over late tomorrow/early Monday morning to use the calm period. To make this happen this MR should be merged tonight (marking urgent).
