Reverting space point formation changes for ITk

Reverting changes previously implemented in !50962 (merged)

All is working as expected with the geometry tag ATLAS-P2-RUN4-01-00-00. It breaks reconstruction using previous development geometry tag, here referring mainly to ATLAS-P2-ITK-24-00-00.

Also contains some cleaning of no longer used methods.
