Shouldn't this have been merged in 22.0 instead of master?

Yes probably. @tbold if this is needed in r22 could you make a new branch and cherrypick the commit and submit it to branch r22. Didn't twig as I pressed merge.

Not necessarily. But it is better I guess to have the functionality in sync. That would be another MR, right?

You can just click on the "Cherry-pick" button below this MR's description and open a new MR targeting 22.0.

Since confTool is relevant for CA development I think it would be indeed useful to have it up to date also in 22.0.
