This reverts merge request !54147 (merged)

The MR breaks the AthAnylsis nightlies ctests: https://bigpanda.cern.ch/nview/?nightly=master_AthAnalysis_x86_64-centos7-gcc11-opt - there is no athena.py in the release anymore, so the CMakeLists.txt needs a fix.
