LCG_95 Updates, 1.0 branch (2019.03.13.)

This is a manual cherry-pick of !445 (merged), !447 (merged), !448 (merged) and !354 (merged). The last one is pretty unrelated to all the LCG updates, but it made sense to pull it into this branch as well.
