Fix Simage build on CC7 for 21.0

Riccardo Maria Bianchi requested to merge rbianchi/atlasexternals:21.0-cc7-simage into 1.0.48-patches

This MR fixes the build of Simage for rel. 21.0 on CC7.

This MR has been built on top of 1.0.48.1, the version of the Externals used in 21.0, but I see that some extra commits have been taken by the MR. @akraszna, should I use another tip for this?

Fixes ATLINFR-3737 for 21.0.

@akraszna and @jchapman , is the target branch right for pushing these changes to 21.0 nightly? Thanks for your help.
