Update dstar cuts

Just FYI, this also contains some commented out code that I used to do some of the tracking stuff for fakes, and will likely want to reboot in the future, but you can ignore if for now. I also adjusted hist ranges as necessary and some other harmonizing changes. But I think the main thing is the cut changes, hence the name for the MR
