Add first tested functionality

Adds the first tested functionality for a simple, single program that turns fast-carpenter dataframes into plots. I've tried to write this in such a way that if a user wants to write a dedicated script to make a single plot, much of the functions used internally here should also be useful to their code.

@linacre since you're so far the main contributor to this repo, do you mind taking a look at all?
