pt-pz MomentumSpectrums for CEP Upsilon(2S) and Upsilon(3S) decay to mu+mu- events generated by SuperChic4.2

Hi, I am working on CEP Upsilon(nS) production for Run2 2016-18. Here is a request to add the momentum spectrum for Upsilon(2S)[100553] and Upsilon(3S)[200553], which would be used to request official PGun MC samples later.

  • The spectrums are obtained from SuperChic4.2, the latest one so far. But according to the preset process, only \Upsilon(1S)->\mu^{+}\mu^{-} (eq.51)can be generated, we cannot generate the decays for \Upsilon(2S) and \Upsilon(3S). Thanks to the suggestions from Lucian, the author of SuperChic, hack the 1S case, just modify the mass of Upsilon(1S) into Upsilon(2S)'s.
  • Then we could produce the momentum spectrums for 2S and 3S, 1e8 events produced with the selections: 1.5 <y_{\Upsilon(nS)}<5.5; 1<\eta_{\mu^{+}\mu^{-}}<6. Then we add the cut 10-400mrad for the produced \mu^{+}\mu^{-} acceptance, so finally, we get above 70M entries inside the spectrum histogram.   • Now, as for the MomentumSpectrum_xxx.root I plan to merge,
    • the variables 2D pt-pz histograms use are directly from the superchic output: \sqrt{p_{x}^2+p_{y}^2} and p_{z} value,
    • the input BinningVariables is "ptpz",
    • the HistogramPath = "OutputMomentumSpectrum_ptpz".
