MCTruthAndBkgCat.py - better settings and logging

These updates follow from the various issues reported for example at DaVinci#97 (closed) and DaVinci#100 (closed). Running tests with DaVinci#100 (closed) I now get rid of hundreds of warnings being printed, at least once on an event-by-event basis.

Depends on Rec!3323 (merged). Goes with DaVinci!847 (merged).
