One thing is not clear to me, how was tracking configured in DaVinci before?

I think it was not configured before. If you wanted, you could set it up as DaVinci depends on Rec.

You do not need tracking in DaVinci, per se. You can say there is some sort of it if you refit, though.

Sascha, your changes to Configuration.py look fine to me, and safe, of course. Basically all is delegated to TrackSys via the DataType. When you are done with the changes Inside TrackSys I can certainly trigger the merge request. Else I can do it "now" ... BTW Phys v21r3 is retagged and I should prepare Analysis and DaVinci releases to go with it.

Ok, as you wish. If you merge now, it won't do much as the changes in TrackSys are not yet merged.
