Hmm, I do not typically go and protect all v*-release branches. BTW, why do you want to cherry-pick to here? Would it not be nicer - assuming I get this right - to create a 2017-patches from v42r5-release or master and then work from there? Apologies if this was all discussed while I was away.

The v42r5-release branch is now protected.

For v42r5 we needed to take Hlt/HltDAQ from LHCb, so I followed https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LHCb/PrepareProjectReleaseGit#Preparing_a_release_of_the_m_AN1

Now we need a patch release for the Turbo production that includes !78 (merged) and !79 (merged). I'd think it's easier to cherry-pick them here and tag v42r5p1 from this branch. We can rename it to v42r5-patches if you think it's more clear.

I think you need to merge this one before I can cherry pick 79 (there's a conflict). Then we're ready to go with a quick update of the version and the release notes. If we can have v42r5p1 deployed on Friday at the latest it would be great as we can start the production.
