Synchronize master branch with 2024-patches

Includes:

• Modify VP 2024.Q3.4 geometry to still include the 0.5mm shims and rename it 2024.v00.00 (!577 (merged))
• Prepare Detector v1r35 (!623 (merged))
• Tidy up UT sim conditions for data-taking (!578 (merged))
• Setting default VPChannelID to invalid value (!542 (merged))
• Expose UT sector dxDy for Allen. (!590 (merged))
• Remove unimplemented name() definition in Material (!586 (merged))
• Add function to check readout direction of FTChannelID (!605 (merged))
