Port filter on gamma conversion to master

This correspond to merge request !203 (merged) in Sim09 and !242 (merged) in Sim09-upgrade

Cherry-pick had conflicts in Sim/Gauss/python/Gauss/Configuration.py on the explanation of the new properties. The cherry pick was done commit by commit and resolved for Configuration.py by editing by hand.
