@sponce Looking on the code, practically the only effect is to remove root_copy_input_writer which serves only as a middle-layer for CopyInputStream. This makes LHCb slightly cleaner while configuration in Moore then has to deal with additional settings for CopyInputStream. Is there some additional benefit I am missing?
