Add the PID sequence to the cheated pattern recognition

  This is a different issue, but I got reminded by this: We could add the PID sequence to the cheated pattern recognition described here. This would then give a "theoretical maximum" for the performance.

  The configuration of the cheated sequence would need to be adapted quite a bit for it I guess.
