Add a simple test of combinations using the v2 particle model

Add test to verify that we can do combinations of particles built using the v2 particle event model.

@nkleijne do you mind triggering the tests of the three related MRs together? The test is failing locally when using the testing infrastructure but runs fine manually, so I wonder what is causing the errors.
