Add TIS/TOS HLT1 filters in HLT2, change pion tracking efficiency lines, move HadInt lines to turbo

Merged Laurent Dufour requested to merge ld-update-trackeff-lines into master

This MR adds the trackeff stream for turbo, and allows for the definition of more turbo lines in the trackeff module.

Depends on: Rec!3784 (merged)

Concerning the KS -> pi pi tracking efficiency lines

The KS -> pi pi lines are changed, with the TurCal lines going for a much tigether prescale, still allowing for low-level tracking studies, but the majority of the rate is moved to turbo. The Turbo lines also include a TIS filter that helps to reduce the rate. It additionally re-arranges the prescales in different momentum ranges, allowing for more events at high pT, while simultaneously also adding coverage at low momentum.

I'm waiting on the 2024 expected MC sample with the proper manifest file to be able to test the rates and tune the prescales.

The '24 expected sample now has the right manifest, thanks to Ross and Tim.

Rates:

  • TURCAL: going from 3.5kHz in total, to 0.5 kHz
  • TURBO: adding about 1.25kHz in total.

As the events in TURBO are about half the size of those in TURCAL, in the end, we reduce the overall bandwidth by all of these calibrations by a factor 3.

Options after TS:

  1. The TURCAL can be prescaled further if indeed the Turbo solution is validated to give the same results. I would scale it by half or 1/3.
  2. The TURBO lines can be more aggressive in saving only tracks which already have an overlap with the VELO track. With this, the bandwidth should go down by another factor 4 (from about 100kB to about 25kB per event).

Concerning the hadronic efficiency lines

These have been changed from turcal to turbo in this MR as well, and moved it to the Charm directory (and thus stream...) as there is a large overlap. A prescale of (1/4) has been set for those two lines. This closes #713 (closed)

General remarks

Note: a streaming configuration for the SprucingPass for '24 hasn't been defined yet. By the time a draft is there, the changes in this MR need to be reflected in there as well.

  • Many thanks @ldufour for these changes! So if I understand well we're going to compare the TurCal and Turbo output and in case we don't see problems we can further prescale the TurCal one after the TS. It seems very reasonable to me
