Add IFT HLT2 lines for decays into helium

Hendrik Jage requested to merge hage_ift_hlt2_he_lines into 2024-patches

Add new HLT2 lines for the 2024 data taking that search for decays into Helium3. The following decays are targeted:

  • hypertriton -> He3 pi-
  • Lambda_b0 -> He3 anti-proton anti-proton

As hypertriton is long-lived (similar lifetime as the Lambda0), a downstream (DD) line is added as well. The lines are supposed to be turbo lines, but with the RICH raw banks added.

The current rates are:

Line:  Hlt2IFT_HypertritonToHePi_DD_VeloMatchDecision  Incl:    0.0 +/- 0.0 kHz,    Excl:    0.0 +/- 0.0 kHz
Line:  Hlt2IFT_HypertritonToHePi_LLDecision            Incl: 0.0798 +/- 0.0301 kHz, Excl: 0.0798 +/- 0.0301 kHz
Line:  Hlt2IFT_HypertritonToHePi_SS_LLDecision         Incl: 0.0228 +/- 0.0161 kHz, Excl: 0.0228 +/- 0.0161 kHz
Line:  Hlt2IFT_Lb0ToHePmPmDecision                     Incl:    0.0 +/- 0.0 kHz,    Excl:    0.0 +/- 0.0 kHz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hlt2 Total:                                               Rate:   0 +/- 0.0 kHz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They have been evaluated on 100k simulated minBias (expected_2024_min_bias_hlt1_filtered) events.

In addition rates have been evaluated on 184k simulated pAr events:

Line:  Hlt2IFT_HypertritonToHePi_DD_VeloMatchDecision  Incl:   0.0 +/- 0.0 kHz
Line:  Hlt2IFT_HypertritonToHePi_LLDecision            Incl: 0.087 +/- 0.023 kHz
Line:  Hlt2IFT_HypertritonToHePi_SS_LLDecision         Incl: 0.006 +/- 0.006 kHz
Line:  Hlt2IFT_Lb0ToHePmPmDecision                     Incl:   0.0 +/- 0.0 kHz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hlt2 Total:                                                Rate:   0 +/- 0.0 kHz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The average event size is 0.16 MB, leading to a bandwidth estimate of 16 MB/s (on the minBias and pAr sample both).

This MR is depend on: Rec!3917, Rec!3855, LHCb!4512, lhcb-conddb/DDDB!131 (merged)
