Draft: Sprucing lines for partially reconstructed sexaquark searches

Re-implementation of (https://gitlab.cern.ch/lhcb/Stripping/-/blob/2018-patches/Phys/StrippingSelections/python/StrippingSelections/StrippingBandQ/StrippingSexaquark.py)[Sexaquark stripping] for 2025 sprucing

Looking for b-baryons to an antiproton, a meson and missing 4-momentum carrying two units of strangeness and 2 units of baryon number (labelled

S

below). The missing momentum can be recovered by kinematical constraints from tagging an excited baryon.

The final states are

\bar{p} D_s^+

,

\bar{p} \bar{D}^0

,

\bar{p} D^0

(control mode),

\bar{p} J/\psi

,

\bar{p} K^+

,

\bar{p} \bar{D}^0 \pi^+

.

Each lines selects particles for isolation and candidates for tagging.

Status

So far only

\bar{p} K^+

is implemented, for tests.

Hi @pkoppenb, whenever you're ready for this to be merged could you target the qee_upgrade branch please? (we're trying to keep to one merge request per working group). The QEE RTA/DPA liaisons can then take a look at it. FYI @paandreo @isanders @lugrazet

This MR will take some time. First time I do a sprucing line, and there are multiple more needed. We'll discuss that the sexaquarks workshop on Tuesday.

That's no problem at all. I will say that disk resources are scarce: I can't be more specific on a bandwidth budget at this stage, but we can't add lots as a working group (ideally we just reduce, but there's some flexibility). This can be discussed properly with the liaisons at the end, but I thought I'd give you the heads up now.

Are there instructions on how to write and test a sprucing line? I was unable to find instructions on the DPA web.

Hey @pkoppenb I just noticed that @eleckste opened Add Sexaquark sprucelines (!4379 - merged) and the title caught my eye. I wonder if you two have discussed with each other about similarities of your physics intent? I have no expertise in sexaquarks so perhaps they're completely different , apologies if so
