@ascarabo @rmatev @cagapopo can we clarify what is being used now in production between this !447 (closed) and possibly other ways of fixing the number of threads? We should merge what is being used so we don't forget it in future releases and further developments are based on it

also !414 (closed) is related

closed previous MRs with fixes to the HLT2 configuration in production in favour of this. This is already old though, so @dmagdali will make a new one with what we have right now at the pit
