@jonrob, for what it's worth, this can also be merged. Though there seems no interest to have a working Panoptes in run2-patches, the other build failures have been there for months.

The problem with run2-patches is the fact Online has been removed there. Panoptes makes little sense without online, so making it work would indeed be a bit of work for very little point. I think we should just stop trying to build it in the nightlies ?
