Apologies @jonrob, there was a very late miscommunication on our side. I have changed this MR back to draft. Please do not merge it at this time.

@jreich, Anatoly has pulled the commits from mirr_scripts into alex_branch. He is quite busy at the moment and probably missed our message about merging this into master. Anyway, you can switch to alex_branch and continue working now.

@jamey, @jreich if I am not mistaken it would now be appropriate to close this MR and remove this branch from the remote. Please let me know if you have an objection to this.
