Remove AFS-based hepix group config, take 2

  • rip out more AFS-based variables.
  • and add some initial self-test. These still shows some failures, but these a) come from the experiment-controlled areas (have informed NA61, DELPHI, LHCB) b) seem to affect only 'ksh', which apparently nobody uses anyway... c) seem unrelated to the above changes
