Updated tracking for 2022B (data and MC)

Up to now GDML files to account for the material in the beam line are produced separately for MC and for data. There seems to be a great difference between them and this affects the momentum reconstruction in both cases. The following is a sketch of the current situation: image

Updates to tracking:

  • Changed gdml files with version from na64-simulation (MC gdml in picture). It seems that the version with macro was overestimating the material budget in the beam line. The GDMLDump file produced by example106 of na64-simulation accounts for the complete setup of 2022B and was produced for the commit hash c59beadc85c1d6b9fbca765c21ab5464420a9c68 by B. Banto.
    • This means that gdml file is now virtually the same for MC and data. Only difference is a shift in position due to the different conventions on coordinate systems between na64-simulation and p348-daq.
  • Alignment was performed again with these corrections using code provided by M. Hoesgen in his branch hoesgen_2022e (example_DAF_2022e.cc).

I use this opportunity to remind that there were changes to the tracking-tools in its latest fix to the units taken for the GDML parser in GenFit (see here). To use the latest version, the tracking-tools package needs to be reinstalled manually.
