Draft: Remove FriendUtils hacks

ROOT has had a few bugs that we attempted to work around in FriendUtils. The hacks never really solved the problems. Fortunately, the bugs have meanwhile been fixed (kudos to Vincenzo Padulano), so the hacks are no longer necessary.
