minor changes to fix transcribe test

The goal of this MR was initially to help debug cms-analysis/general/DasAnalysisSystem/gitlab-profile!30 (merged) where the unit test of transcribe fails.

In the course of debugging, I found out that the right shell could not be found. This MR now also contains this fix.

Some redundancy in the environment variables is also removed.
